Inicia os seus estudos nas Artes Plásticas em 1975.
Possui formação superior em Arte pela Volkshochschule de Düsseldorf – Alemanha, cidade onde viveu durante 12 anos e onde também tirou o curso de História de Arte e Pintura, sob a orientação do mestre Peter Storch, no Kunstmuseum.
Participa em exposições desde 1980 e expõe regularmente em vários países da Europa e América, nomeadamente em Espanha, França, Áustria, Bélgica, Reino Unido, Estados Unidos e Portugal. Foi premiada com várias medalhas e menções honrosas internacionais.
Está representada em colecções particulares na Alemanha, Espanha e Portugal.
É membro da Académie Européenne des Arts sediada em Bruxelas e e com delegação em Portugal.
Editou o livro de pintura, poesia e música, com o título "Alma Animal" da Pé de Página Editores.
Nela Vicente was born in 1961 and initiated her studies in art in 1975.
Living in Dusseldorf,Germany for a period of 12 years her formal art training also included her attending a course of History of Art and Painting .
Since 1980 Nela has participated in many exhibitions throughout Europe and America, including Spain, France, Belgium, UK, USA, Austria and Portugal, winning various awards ,medals and honourable mentions for her work.
She is a member of European Academy of Arts in Brussels. At the present moment she lives and works in Lisbon. Published Books: Alma Animal (Animal soul) da Pé de Página Editores.
"Her deep look is mixing, on canvas, leaves and flowers of creation in a pictorial way, sometimes impressionist , some other surrealist. She talks with Nature through her extra-sensitive senses and Nature sends on her all energy she sings on her paintings. It’s a pleasure to walk through dense foliage, flowers and invented people in her hidden erotism."
