Victor Agius, nato a Malta nel 1982, ha dimostrato un’istintiva inclinazione all’arte fin dalla sua infanzia, probabilmente dovuta al fatto di essere cresciuto in un’atmosfera artistica. L’artista ha iniziato ad attendere alle lezioni private del defunto Mons. M. Apap e Anthony Caruana all’età di sei anni e fu poi istruito da Mr. Harry Alden per undici anni. Agius ha continuato i suoi studi con il corso B.Educ (Hons). all’Università di Malta. Con successo ha completato il corso e si è diplomato nel Novembre del 2004. Oggi fa l’insegnante a tempo pieno. L’artista ha anche concluso anche un corso di ceramica, che ha seguito a MCAST sotto la tutela del signor George Muscat e un altro corso sulla figura illustrazione sotto l’istruzione del signor Anton Calleja. Dopo aver concluso i suoi studi, Aguis divenne piuttosto attivo e prolifico nella sua espressione artistica. Oltre ad organizzare esposizioni personali e a partecipare in esposizioni collettive, Agius ha manifestato la sua arte su livello internazionale. Infatti, Agius ha già un numero vasto di lavori esibiti in musei permanenti e prestigiosi come a Roma, a Marseille, e a Pennsylvania e altri lavori esibiti in collezioni private a Parigi, Londra e Berlino. Nel 2003-2004 l’artista ha inoltre partecipato a progetti artistici a Bergamo, Berlino e Napoli.

BIOGRAPHY
Victor Agius b.1982 has shown an instinctive inclination to art since his early childhood probably due to his being nurtured in an artistic atmosphere. The artist began his formal art tuition at the age of six under the late Mons. M. Apap and Anthony Caruana and was later instructed by Mr. Harry Alden for eleven years. Agius furthered his art studies in the B.Educ (Hons.) course in the University of Malta from which he successfully graduated as an art teacher in November 2004. Today Agius is a full time art teacher by profession. The artist has also studied ceramics at the MCAST under the tuition of Mr George Muscat and was engaged in figure drawing under the instruction of Mr Anton Calleja. After completing his studies, Agius became quite active and prolific in his artistic expression. Apart from setting up personal exhibitions and taking part in collective exhibitions locally, Agius has also been manifesting his art internationally and in fact, Agius has already a number of works exhibited in prestigious permanent museums Rome, Marseille and Pennsylvania and in private collections is Paris, London and Berlin. The artist has in 2003-2004 participated in art projects in Bergamo, Berlin and Naples.
