"Le verbe qui semblerait le plus approprié à notre façon de faire de l’art est: récupérer!

Récupérer ne signifie pas recycler, mais puiser dans le grand écrin de la tradition, en la réinterprétant avec un œil contemporain et en la reproposant dans notre style très personnel qui, loin de suivre les modes, exprime seulement ce que nous sommes.

Notre objectif est de communiquer et de faire revivre des mythes et des nouvelles, des histoires et des légendes, à travers un instrument très vieux, mais plus que jamais efficace, la symbolique; elle permet de parler à ceux qui veulent écouter et de susciter un intérêt à ceux qui veulent comprendre."

Estér Foglia et Maria Brunereau

The roots of her homeland are in her painting. A strong, indissoluble, ancestral embrace. The origins are prominent, both in the drawing and in the colours. The force of life transmitted by persuasive, intense, sophisticated images. Watering the path of life of peoples, so different and yet so similar and travelling along it with love, in an attempt to unite it. The union of peoples with a universal thread: painting – in the prince of its techniques: oil on canvas. The pride of attempting to contribute to contact and brotherhood with ones own emotions. The language of works of art: life at the centre of the universe. The artist is man and as such favoured by God: he becomes a messenger and an instrument like an initiate, a chosen one.

The three works of art.

Tlacuilo:
“the delicate joint of the woman’s fingers. The body of a woman who is the very casket of the miracle of life. The contrasting images of science and faith: little icons of colour similar to “‘houses” of the zodiac mix with coils and double-helixes that lead back to the concept of science, as an integral part, of the divine design”.

Iguana:
“The intense gaze of a woman forming a bridge between the sacred and the profane. Soft contours between the hair and the body of the iguana symbolising the eternal union between God and man. The sacred, represented by the animal of ancient tradition, lives and dominates in the mind and ends up by forming a meaningful part of it”.


Cimarron:
“the strength of thought, the steadfastness of reason and the pride of ideas. These are the concepts that explode from the vision of the work that brings to mind young passions that are never subdued by years of maturity. The gaze projected towards the future, with the faith of someone who has made wisdom her philosophy of life”.


Toni La Spina

Le radici della sua terra nella sua pittura. Un abbraccio forte, indissolubile, ancestrale. Le origini marcate sia disegno sia nei colori. La forza della vita trasmessa da immagini suadenti, intense e sofisticate. Innaffiare il sentiero della vita dei popoli, tanto diversi e tanto uguali e percorrerlo con amore e tentare d’unirlo. L’unione dei popoli con un collante universale: la pittura. Quest’ultima nella sua tecnica principe: l’olio su tela. La fierezza di tentare a contribuire, con le proprie emozioni, al contatto ed alla fratellanza. Il linguaggio delle opere: la vita al centro dell’universo. L’artista è uomo e come tale prediletto da Dio: diventa esso stesso messaggero e strumento come un iniziato, un eletto.

Le tre opere.

Tlacuilo: “la delicata giunzione delle dita di una donna. Il corpo della donna che è lo scrigno stesso del miracolo della vita. Le immagini contrastanti di scienza e fede: piccole icone di colore simili alle ‘case’ zodiacali si mescolano a spire e doppie-eliche che riportano al concetto di scienza, come parte integrante, del disegno divino”.

Iguana:
“Lo sguardo intenso di donna a gettare un ponte tra il sacro ed il profano. Contorni sfumati tra i capelli ed il corpo dell’iguana a simboleggiare l’eterno connubio tra Dio e l’uomo. Il sacro, rappresentato dall’animale di antica tradizione, dimora e domina nella mente e di essa finisce col farne parte pregnante”.

Cimarron:“la forza del pensiero, la costanza della ragione e la fierezza delle idee. Questi sono i concetti che esplodono dalla visione di quest’opera che ricorda passioni giovanili, mai sopite negli anni della maturità. Lo sguardo proiettato al futuro, con la fiducia di chi ha fatto della sapienza la propria ragione di vita.”
