Phillip Tomlinson04/04/2007 03:07 AM
Hi Stefi, there is indeed a conection between ireland and jamaica:)there is a historical conection. Its nice that you like jamaica.Whats the influence like in Ireland? Is your art typical irish art?
Stefi 04/05/2007 12:38 PM
Ciao Philip
well no my art is not typical Irish they have their own Celtic art very beautiful !
I think is a good place where to paint I find it very mystical lovely nature green all over massive sky
but now i live in Milano...the city
pardon my ignorance but which is the historical connection? The only one I know is the green and that they drink a lot of beer and you smoke lot of ganja:))
is there a typical jamaican art?
Phillip Tomlinson04/05/2007 03:01 PM
Hel me here stefi, teach me some Italian.Does ciao mean hello?
Next.I will discuss the issues individually. We do not all smoke ganga:)Jamaican Art??well...Jamaica was inhabited by the tainos(indians),spanish, europeans and africans at different times in our history. This mix of influences now leave a unique blend of culture(music, art, dance, food). However, with africans being the predominant, folk art has strong african retentions.
The Irish did come here as part of the european team. Some jamaicans are of irish decent.
Hope my history was of some use to u!:)
Stefi 04/09/2007 05:11 PM
I teach you Italian if you teach me Jamaican:)
"hel me here" means something like hear me maybe here I am ?
ciao means hello and bye
