Anthony was born and lives in the town of Wigan, he is a lecturer for Wigan and Leigh College and is a member of NAPA, the National Acrylic Painters Association.
He has been painting for over 25 years and his work is in private collections around the world. Predominantly a figurative artist Anthony has a prolific output which often overflows into the disciplines of landscape, still life and abstract painting.
The paintings are an interpretation of his emotional response to time based media.
Mass visual information is an accepted part of our everyday existence, television, video, film have become our emotional fix; the characters take us on a fictitious journey that affects our psyche in different ways, provoking reactions that are dependant upon the mind set of the individual.
The psychological effects of over exposure to the moving image are a fascinating subject and provide him with an extensive body of research.
The context within which we experience an event will determine how that event is encoded and retained

I just had a look at your art and I must say that I am very much impressed! Bravo, I love your work. A question for you, if I may: How do call this effect that you use in each of your paintings that gives this impression of movement?
Estel.
